Christmas is finally here and it’s the end of yet another year!
And what a year it has been. The 31st Dec marks for us the end of our anniversary of a decade, and 2011 is now the beginning of what we hope will be the start of yet another 10 good years of the Bitton Café.
I want to thank my community of loyal customers; it is especially wonderful to see the ‘community’ breakfast table just get bigger and bigger. To me this is the essence of my café, seeing people come together over good coffee, fine food, friendship, and laughter.
Thank you to every customer who has come in for coffee almost every day – if you ever wondered if anyone would notice if you didn’t get up one day…well the staff at Bitton know, and may even have a chat as to where you may be!
We want to wish the man who sits on table 8 outside all year round regardless of the weather and sips a long black with raisin bread at approx. 7.45am, a happy new year.
And also to Mr Flat White – yes many of our regulars are nicknamed after their coffee!
And to the mums with their tums and there baby conversations – we have learnt a lot from you ladies – probably more than we wished too!
We also thank the cool guys who wear their sunglasses, well….permanently! We do feel honoured that you grace us with your presence.
To all the pretty ladies, sorry your coffee might take a little longer to arrive, but eye candy really is a special treat for Andy and me…one we must savour!
To the people that order then change their minds – we really don’t mind, honest.
To all those that look like coffee is the only thing keeping them alive that day.
And to those who order One Pan Bacon and Eggs…but without the egg, oh and the bacon.
We thank you all for creating a wonderful atmosphere; the hummm of conversation along with the smell of good coffee, hearing laughter, hearing little kids playing, greeting our customers by name as they do my staff– this is what makes a café such a wonderful place to run, sharing it with the people who have created the Bitton community.
We love you all! And we hope you have a spectacular Christmas and a very prosperous new year and we look forward to seeing you a great deal in 2011!

The best news…you can now order your coffee by TEXT!!! Yes that’s right, now you don’t even have to communicate with us (except to say your name and pay – but we probably know your name!) all you have to do is TEXT this number 0466453725 and send us your order. All will be done in 5mins from the time of sending the text (unless you specify a time.)
So add this number to your phone under MY BITTON COFFEE and it will be ready for you before you even get here.
This service starts on January Monday 10th 2011

Congratulations on 10 years! From a relative newcomer - I've only been coming in for weekly breakfast for about 8 years. But I do keep coming back for the good food & coffee, but especially the compliments, even when I know there's far more flattery than truth!
My daughter can't wait to grow up a bit more so she can become a waitress. She'll have to work on her french accent...

I stumbled over this place a few years ago now and have NEVER looked back. I lived in Brisbane for 4 years and on each visit I would squeeze in some time for Bitton, whether it was a medium rare eye fillet or the one pan bacon and eggs or the garlic bread I always begged Andy for.. this place is a part of who I am. Looking forward to sharing in your success and will continue to share the amazing atmosphere and the simplicity of great food and consistency of excellent service that Bitton has to offer with my closest friends and loved ones.
