Funny name but a seriously good recipe from David’s wife’s Indian heritage. It is an unusual combination of peanuts, herbs and chilli that can be used as a condiment to curries or other spicy dishes. Delicious to serve as a snack with pappadums. Try adding the spicy, nutty flavour to chargrilled meats.

Serving Suggestions

  • Add a little Greek style natural yoghurt and serve as a snack with pappadums.
  • Use a couple of tablespoons through your next stir fry.
  • Serve as an accompaniment to any chargrilled meat.
  • Add a tablespoon to some cooked rice and stuff and bake a tomato or red pepper.
  • Serve with as a condiment to a chicken curry.
  • Spread it over cold meat sandwiches.
  • Add some to fresh breadcrumbs and use as a crust for lamb cutlets or rack of lamb.
  • Stir through a simple dish of chicken broccoli and pasta.
  • Place a tablespoon on top of a piece of fleshy white fish, wrap in baking paper and bake or BBQ. Serve with Asian greens and rice.
